Short In Downtrend Below MA100 (Coinrule)This is a simple strategy to take advantage of downtrends. It's useful to run such a strategy as a hedge in times of market uncertainty.
The Sell Condition - Entry
The sell signal triggers when:
the coin has MA (100) greater than the price in a timeframe of 15 minutes, meaning that the coin is in a short-term downtrend.
the coin has an RSI greater than 30 in a timeframe of 15 minutes, indicating that it didn't reach oversold conditions yet, so there is still room for a further price drop.
On Coinrule, you can launch the strategy on real market conditions, setting up multiple sequential sell orders. The strategy would keep selling while the price stays below the MA(100). In that case, it's advisable to set low amounts for the sell orders. the position will grow gradually while the downtrend intensifies. Set a minimum time interval between the sell orders will also help to have control over the overall position size.
The Buy Condition - Exit
The bot connects to each trade a stop loss and a take profit. The percentages are optimized for short term trades on mid-cap coins. You can adjust the percentages depending on the specific coin you are trading. A ratio of 1:1.5 between the stop loss and the take profit could work as the strategy trades in the same direction of the trend.
Stop loss at 3% from the entry price
Take profit at 2% from the entry price
A slightly larger stop loss allows tolerating more volatility to reduce the case of stops triggering when it shouldn't.

Engulfing strategy with DMI confirmationThe strategy contains Bearish and Bullish Engulfing trend reverse alerts with entry and closure notifications. Entries are enforced by Directional Movement Index (DMI) indicator levels combination. The strategy can be applied to spot, futures and marginal trading exchanges. It is suitable for both long and short positions and works accurately with BTC, USDT, ETH and BNB quote currencies. Best to use with 1H timeframe charts
Strategy elements can be configured at your own desire with user interface settings, no programming skills required:
1. Choose signals type: Long, Short or Both
2. Choose trend detection pattern rule:
SMA50 - provides a higher number of positions
SMA50 + SMA200 provides a higher accuracy
3. Change risk management settings to make the most accurate and efficient configuration. You can set up unique stop loss, take profit and trailing offset for different assets
4. Configure strategy periods
DMI and ADX lengths
ADX Smoothing
Key level
EMA and SMA lengths
5. Configure backtest dates
6. Show or hide RSI support and resistance bands
Engulfing strategy provides information for traders to enter the market in anticipation of a possible reversal in trend. Engulfing candles tend to signal a reversal of the current trend in the market. This specific pattern involves two candles with the latter candle "engulfing" the entire body of the candle before it. The engulfing candle can be bullish or bearish depending on where it forms in relation to the existing trend. The script calculates and compares values of the price action candles to define is there an engulfing and what type it is: bullish or bearish
If there is a bullish engulfing the indicator fills price action candle with yellow color
If there is a bearish engulfing the indicator fills price action candle with purple color
Advantages of the script:
1. The script detects presence of both types of engulfing: Bullish and Bearish
2. Weak engulfment signals and market noises are filtered by RSI bands and DMI confirmations. This allows to receive only strong and confirmed engulfment signals
3. This script has configurable risk management settings (order size, commission, take profit, stop loss and trailing). This provides you opportunity of direct broker connection and allows to conduct backtests before applying the strategy to real account. You also can set up strategy actions alerts
At the chart you can see the historical price action of ADAUSDT at Binance exchange from the January 1st 2019 till current date. The strategy is set up to receive only long signals because it is a spot market. Moments when the strategy triggered to enter a position are shown as L label while position entries are shown as "Long" messages. Moments when a certain position should be closed are shown as "Exitlong" messages
The strategy demonstrate high backtest results:
Mathematical expectation of risk management settings is positive = 1.34%
Percent profitable = 93.33%
Profit factor = 3.253
Quantity of entries = 75
Net profit = 15.22%
How to use?
Long signals:
1. Apply indicator to a trading pair your are interested in.
2. Click Settings button and select Alert Positions Type Long
3. Once bullish engulfing and confirmation conditions are met price action candle will be colored yellow and script strategy will enter a position.
4. Check Strategy Tester to set up optimal Risk management settings: stop loss, trailing profit activation point, trailing offset
5. Set up the strategy alert to be notified when a position should be opened or closed
Short signals:
1. Apply indicator to a trading pair your are interested in.
2. Click Settings button and select Alert Positions Type Short
3. Once bearish engulfing and confirmation conditions are met price action candle will be colored purple and script strategy will enter a position.
4. Check Strategy Tester to set up optimal Risk management settings: stop loss, trailing profit activation point, trailing offset
5. Set up the strategy alert to be notified when a position should be opened or closed

Buy when:
Swing low (5) should be lower than the highest of lower BB (3 periods)
Both RSI crossover RSI_5 and CCI crossover -100 should have happened within last 3 candles (including the current candle)
Once all the above conditions are met, the close should be higher than SMA (5) within the next 3 candles
After condition 3 is satisfied, we enter the trade at next candle’s open
Stop loss will be at 1 tick lower than previous swing low

Swing high (5) should be higher than the lowest of upper BB (3 periods)
Both RSI crossunder RSI_5 and CCI crossunder 100 should have happened within last 3 candles (including the current candle)
Once all the above conditions are met, the close should be lower than SMA (5) within the next 3 candles
After condition 3 is satisfied, we enter the trade at next candle’s open
Stop loss will be at 1 tick higher than previous swing high
Exit Conditions:
Since it’s mean reversion strategy we’ll be having only 2 target exits with a trailing stop loss after target price 1 is achieved.
Target exit price 1 & 2 are decided based on the risk ‘R’ for each trade
Depending on the instrument and time frame a trailing stop loss of 0.5R or 1R has opted.
A stop limit is placed @Entry_price +- 2*ATR(20) to offset the risk of losing significantly more than 1xR in a trade

Stop Placement
The Turtles placed their stops based on position risk. No trade could incur more than 2% risk.
Since 1N of price movement represented 1% of Account Equity, the maximum stop
that would allow 2% risk would be 2N of price movement. Turtle stops were set at 2N
below the entry for long positions, and 2N above the entry for short positions.

Trend reversal strategy "muxie2" with safety SL, about 2x PFThis is a modified version of my script muxie1.
The muxie1 is more profitable in backtesting but is more risky as the stop loss is only triggered when a reversal happens and orders 2x more in reverse direction.
The current script works the same but if loss is substancial and reaches the safety stop loss then the trade is closed.
This uses 2 EMA and Stop Loss and Take Profit,
The soft stops don't fire at the precise value but only when the trend reverses
it is actually good for 1D timeframe since 2019, it was however optimised for 1min but I am not able to share scripts for 1m.
Have equivalent code for quantum zone Ftx.
Note the stops are in dollars of btc price, so this makes sense for bitcoin only.
Crypto Trend Following StrategyThis is the strategy script indicator of Crypto Trend Following Strategy which can be used for back testing. With study script indicator, strategy can be easily automated.
To set alerts, see Crypto Trend Following Study indicator.
Script is using several moving averages to keep you on the right side of the trend. Signals are also filtered based on other indicators to prevent buying already overbought or selling already oversold coins and avoid ranging markets.
MAIN GOAL
Main goal of the strategy is long-term stable profit. No strategy has 100% accuracy therefore there always will be some false signals. But patience pays, with Trend Following Strategy, you will get couple of small loses while waiting to get big wins when coin is trending strongly. As you never know the right time you must sustain and be in all trades to make sure that you will not miss the big move.
BACKTEST
This script is for free to play with so you can back test and see for yourself how the strategy performs on any of your favourite coins.
Strategy is optimized and back tested for USDT and BTC pairs on 6h timeframe but it can be used on any pair and any timeframe.
RISK & REWARD
Strategy does not use safety orders as DCAs usually leads to bag holding sooner or later. It does not use take profit either as strategy will tell you when to buy and when to sell based on the actual market condition.
You should always use stop loss to protect your account from drawdown or even being liquidated.
You can change stop loss or take profit as you like or even back test the strategy with your preferred settings to find what suits you best.
STRATEGY SETTINGS
You can use the strategy script for fine tuning and find best settings for yourself.
If you need any help with settings do not hesitate to ask. I would also appreciate any feedback and ideas how to improve the script.

Relativity BEARS FOREX 100X 1H AlgorithmHi,
This system is prepared only for leveraged markets and only for Forex.
System parameters:
Timeframe = 1H (1 Hours)
Leverage = 100X
Position Size = %1 (0.01) Each Trade
System features :
- It targets the Risk /Reward Ratio of 1/3 and above. (Risk/Reward Ratio >= 3 )
- If a Take Profit Point has come in a successful trade but the parameter conformity has not deteriorated, system continues the trade.
- In this way, you can catch strong short trends several times a year.
But it is strict as stop-loss and avoids large declines, whipsaws whenever possible.
- The system tries to avoid unnecessary processes as much as possible.
This means less commission and less sideways market.
- Since it takes advantage of the reverse market, it is suitable not only for long and short but only for short position, ie "bears".
But this neutralizes unnecessary processes.
- Stop-Loss points and Take Profit (TP) points are shown in red and green.
-However, if there is a small amount of follow-up available at the computer, it is recommended to put stop-loss only.
Because the system revises both stop-loss and take profit points according to the conditions formed.
Doing this in the right major long trend here allows you to be in trades.
-The system takes into account the risk and only opens transactions where the value corresponding to 100 leverage ratio is greater than the risk.
This provides as much protection from risk as possible.
-Alerts added.
***Since it is located in the most risky market, the forex market, a balanced algorithm has been optimized, considering that it has a very unstable structure similar to dilithrium crystals (same logic as investment bank trader test).
So if this algorithm was a person, it would be an incredibly disciplined but equally skeptical person =)
Also, like other systems, this system also uses ANN (Artificial Neural Networks).
About Backtest :
Since this system is for leveraged market, backtest results are not healthy.
But since it targets the 1/3 Risk Reward Rate (3.00),
we must look Ratio Avg Win/Loss and it must be over 0.5 because :
This ratio means: When we reach 33% of our correct trades in all our trades, we are at breakeven.
This is 100 - 33 = 66
33/66 = 0.5
So whenever this rate is over 0.5, we make a profit.
*** The fact that this ratio must over 0.75 (worst scenario) in terms of securing ourselves because there will be extra comission fees for worst scenario.
Above this ratios ,we can do successful snowball trades.
And we achieve success cumulatively.
Important Note : This system is prepared only for these parameters.
NOTE :
The system has been prepared as a strategy to present success in a transparent manner.
Please check "Ratio Avg . Win / Avg Loss" rates in backtests.
Important Note 2 -
Although the system revises the stop and take profit points in the required parameters, the most accurate place is when the signal comes.
It should be entered when the signal comes as much as possible and if this did not happen,
trade must be opened in the nearest bars after the signal comes.
Best regards.
EDIT : Comission added. (%0.1)
ALL-STAR STRATEGY TP-SL-TSHello!
This strategy combines multiple following stop and take profit strategies. Basically, after purchasing depending on the MOST Strategy, with the values you will determine from the settings section;
stop loss with percentage (settings > Manuel Stop Loss Ratio),
sell and take profit if it is at max profit level (settings > Take Profit Ratio),
activate the trailing stop after it exceeds a certain profit rate, and if it has dropped from this value by a certain rate, sell and take profit (settings > Trailing Stop Start Ratio) > (settings > Trailing Stop Ratio)
you can have your transactions done. In addition, the transaction, which is stopped according to the MOST strategy, also goes into a sell state.
The bars that are in the Sell state, switch to the Buy state, enter the trailing stop area, and are in the state of Buy despite the Most are shown in different colors.
Türkçe
Bu strateji birden fazla takip eden stop ve kar al stratejisini birleştirmektedir. Temelde MOST Stratejisine bağlı olarak alım yaptıktan sonra, ayarlar bölümünden belirleyeceğiniz değerler ile;
yüzde ile zarar durdur (ayarlar> Manuel Stop Loss Ratio),
max kar al seviyesine geldiyse sat ve kar al (ayarlar> Take Profit Ratio),
Strategy - Bobo PAPATRHi I've revamped this bot mentioned in the linked idea to make it work with v4 of pine. In doing so there are some very significant changes to how it works. The main one is that it no longer uses traditional daily pivot calculations to calculate the bands. It creates a more dynamic intraday set of pivot points based on recent price action rather than yesterday's ohlc. As published, the bot is tuned for a 15 min time frame. But it actually works well on lower time frames you just need to adjust the lookback periods in settings a bit to re tune it. It's also tuned to ES really but will need tweaking for a different instrument at the very least.
The basic concept is recent price action is used to calculate a 'middle' around which red and green bands are located. Their position or width is largely determined by recent volatility. The middle line is again calculated from recent price action. The three lines from that form a tradeable range with green at the top and red at the bottom. The strategy is simple enough, it shorts as it sinks from outside red, and longs when rising above green. The basic principle being that once you enter that range you have a high probability of hitting the middle before you hit your stop loss. So the basic principle is you are trying to capture the inherent ranginess of liquid indices like S&P 500. That back and forth movement that happens. The bot is capturing this by fading extremes of a recent range but the problem with that is you'dd get murdered in a strong trend. To mitigate that there is a trend calculation running in the background the will prevent trading against firm trends mostly. So the bot should trade mostly in rangy conditions because that is what it is trying to do.
Bot will close issue close signals automatically upon crossing the middle, it also will close automatically at predefined stops or limits. These values are denominated in market mintick values. For example the CFD SPX500 has a mintick of 0.1. Therefore a stop value of 100 will equate to 10 points on the index. If trading the same market via ES1! the mintick value is different - 0.25. So in this case a value of 40 is required to set the stop at 10 points.
Anyway shout if you have questions. Hope it's useful.

BEST ATR Stop Multiple StrategyHello traders
Here we go again.... with another strategy snippet.
Reminder: it's an alternative of this Trailing Stop strategy script
Entry logic
The entry is based on a Simple Moving Averages (SMA) cross.
This part doesn't matter here - as I wanted to focus on the ATR multiple stop loss component.
ATR STOP
This strategy snippet uses an entry stop loss defined based on a multiple of the average true range value.
The soure code detects ATR value at entry price, applies the multiplier and will set a static (= non trailing) stop-loss to each position
A pinescript v4 label will appear for each new signal displaying the ATR*multiplier value at signal time
All the BEST
Dave
Combo Backtest 123 Reversal & Donchian Channel Width This is combo strategies for get a cumulative signal.
First strategy
This System was created from the Book "How I Tripled My Money In The
Futures Market" by Ulf Jensen, Page 183. This is reverse type of strategies.
The strategy buys at market, if close price is higher than the previous close
during 2 days and the meaning of 9-days Stochastic Slow Oscillator is lower than 50.
The strategy sells at market, if close price is lower than the previous close price
during 2 days and the meaning of 9-days Stochastic Fast Oscillator is higher than 50.
Second strategy
The Donchian Channel was developed by Richard Donchian and it could be compared
to the Bollinger Bands. When it comes to volatility analysis, the Donchian Channel
Width was created in the same way as the Bollinger Bandwidth technical indicator was.
As was mentioned above the Donchian Channel Width is used in technical analysis to measure
volatility. Volatility is one of the most important parameters in technical analysis.
A price trend is not just about a price change. It is also about volume traded during this
price change and volatility of a this price change. When a technical analyst focuses his/her
attention solely on price analysis by ignoring volume and volatility, he/she only sees a part
of a complete picture only. This could lead to a situation when a trader may miss something and
lose money. Lets take a look at a simple example how volatility may help a trader:
Most of the price based technical indicators are lagging indicators.
When price moves on low volatility, it takes time for a price trend to change its direction and
it could be ok to have some lag in an indicator.
When price moves on high volatility, a price trend changes its direction faster and stronger.
An indicator's lag acceptable under low volatility could be financially suicidal now - Buy/Sell signals could be generated when it is already too late.
Another use of volatility - very popular one - it is to adapt a stop loss strategy to it:
Smaller stop-loss recommended in low volatility periods. If it is not done, a stop-loss could
be generated when it is too late.
Bigger stop-loss recommended in high volatility periods. If it is not done, a stop-loss could
be triggered too often and you may miss good trades.
WARNING:
- For purpose educate only
- This script to change bars colors.
TFs Pivot Reversal StrategyThe Pivot Reversal strategy script uses pivot points to create a support and resistance level; based on this levels the strategy creates virtual stop-market orders to catch the trend if the price is crossing the pivot lines.
A configurable trailing-stop and stop-loss is being used to exit an open position.
How to use
The strategy works with all timeframes; the current chart setting is using a 15min timeframe. The strategy enters about 10 trades per day, depending on the used settings.
I'm also providing a "study" version of this strategy, which can be used to automate the strategy by using webhooks for instance.
The script is using a default commission of 0.075% which reflects Bitmex' Taker-Fees. This is just a default and can be modified in the strategy settings for each instrument individually.
How to access
This strategy is a "Invite Only" script. You can can subscribe or purchase the strategy ; please use the link below or send me a message via Tradingview to obtain access to the strategy and study script.
For enabling the script in your Tradingview chart window, click on "Indicators" and select "Invite-Only Scripts".

I'm looking forward to any feedback, reviews or change requests!
Momentum BFThe momentum strategy is simple, if price action is higher than it was for x bars back, and also higher than it was last candle, we have upwards momentum. This momentum will be positive until a candle closes lower than the previous candle and also lower than x bars back - at which point we have downwards momentum.
The concept behind the Momentum Strategy is that when the momentum crosses from negative to positive, we go long and when it crosses from positive to negative we go short. We stay in that position until momentum crosses back the opposite direction.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Go long at the green background on the chart
Go short at the red background on the chart
The yellow lines are where your stop loss should be for longs
The orange lines are where your stop loss should be for shorts
I have included the options in Settings to change the stop loss type between ATR derived and Fixed percentage based. The default stop loss is a fixed 7%.
You can also select if you want only longs, only shorts or both.
The backtest was done with BTCUSD on Coinbase 1D.
Super Trend Daily 2.0 BFThis is my Super Trend Daily strategy but with one important difference. You can now adjust settings for long or short signals individually and separately. For example, the condition for a long signal may require a different parameter setting than the condition for a short signal. Each parameter in the signal generation can be tuned. You can also decide what kind of stop loss you want for each side - you could have a fixed stop loss for longs and an ATR derived stop loss for shorts, or whatever.
We also have the option to choose if we want longs, shorts or both.
INISTRUCTIONS
Look at the background colors:
Green line = long signal
Red line = short signal
Aqua = No long trades
White = No short trades
Yellow dotted line = stop loss for long
Orange dotted line = stop loss for short
The aqua and white backgrounds mean the conditions are choppy/sideways according to our settings we applied to the rate of change function for a long/short signal respectively. It is possible to get a long signal in a white background, but not a short signal. Similarly, it is possible to get a short signal in an aqua background, but not a long signal.
This is a work in progress so any suggestions for improvements are welcome.
CoG SSL BF 🚀In this strategy I combine my Center of Gravity script with my SSL Channel script.
The conditions for a long signal are if either:
Center of Gravity long is satisfied
Or
SSL Channel long is satisfied AND we are not in a sideways period.
The conditions for a short signal are if either:
Center of Gravity short is satisfied
Or
SSL Channel short is satisfied AND we are not in a sideways period.
We use a dynamic stop loss based on ATR to determine optimum stop loss levels. These levels are printed on the chart in yellow and orange.
INSTRUCTIONS
Bright green background = go long
Bright red background = go short
Yellow dotted line = long stop loss
Orange dotted line = short stop loss
On the chart, the 2 outer lines are the Center of Gravity lines and the filled channel in the middle is the SSL channel.
If the channel is white, this is a no trade zone, unless either Center of Gravity long/short signal is satisfied.
If we get stopped out from a long and we still have a long condition present, we re-enter. Same for short.
Kairos [Backtester]Kairos bot looks for the opportune time to buy low and sell high at targets
It provides signals to open and close trades, and indicates favorable positions for a stop loss and profit taking
The Kairos bot can be used on any chart and on any time frame
---BACKTESTER---
Using the backtester script the user can look at a chart's history between selected dates to find optimal bot settings and optimal time frames
The backtester is based on general percentages for profit taking as indicated below:
-------------T1 T2 T3 T4 T5 T6 CLOSE
1 Target: 50% 50%
2 Targets: 50% 25% 25%
3 Targets: 40% 30% 20% 10%
4 Targets: 40% 25% 20% 10% 5%
5 Targets: 35% 25% 20% 10% 5% 5%
6 Targets: 30% 25% 20% 10% 5% 5% 5%
ie: If 2 targets are selected:
- 50% of investment will be taken at target 1
- 25% of investment will be taken at target 2
- and the remainder 25% will be taken when the trade is closed on a close signal
However, it is up to the user's own risk appetite to determine where and how much profit to take
Note that the backtester does not have any on screen indicators other than OPEN and CLOSE, however profit taking can be indicated by ticking the Style -> Trades on Chart tick box on the settings userform
---SIGNALS---
The signals script can be used for automation and can indicate up to 6 potential Profit Targets, as well as a Stop Loss based on how many bars back needs to be taken into consideration
The signals (Open/Close) can be automated using TradingView alerts, however the Stop Loss and Profit Taking are only indicators and are for the users own interpretation
The user does not have to place a Stop Loss or take profit at the Targets if so wished, the bot can be used to simply buy on an OPEN signal and sell on a CLOSE signal, however, the backtester will indicate that it is far more profitable to take profits.
It is advised to take profits just below indicated Targets as these are potentially high selling zones and price action can sometimes turn down just short of these targets.

This is an invite-only script, so if you would like to try out Kairos Bot, send me a message
Double 7's StrategyStrategy described in the book "Short Term Trading Strategies that Work", written by Larry Connors and Cesar Alvarez.
It is the simplest strategy I know and has only 3 rules:
- Price must be above the arithmetic moving average of 200 periods.
- Buy when the price closes below the closing of the last 7 days.
- Sale when the price closes above the closing of the last 7 days.
Simple as it may seem, this strategy works very well in some stocks and/or graphical times (in some stocks it overcomes many RSI 2 strategies). It was developed for the daily chart and does not usually work well on weekly or monthly charts, but can be used for day trades if the back-test proves to be favorable.
If you want, you can change the input and output rules by setting other values for the input or output period and thus find more positive results for specific stocks.
There is no stop loss because in tests the stop loss usually reduces the gains of the strategy.
Good luck and good trades.
================================
Estrategia descrita no livro "Short Term Trading Strategies that Work", escrito por Larry Connors e Cesar Alvarez.
Boa sorte e bons trades.
Cryptocurrency trend following EMA Ribbon LONG only strategyThis strategy is based on EMA Ribbon and uses multiple indicators to find optimal time to enter/exit the trade and filter out false signals. The script with default setting is developed mainly for trading altcoins/stable coin pair such as ADA/USDT etc on 4h timeframe but it can be applied to any pair/any timeframe with some settings adjustments.
For plot on chart features make sure that you have both study and strategy scripts on chart with same settings.
Strategy settings description:
1. Signal EMA Length - Value for exponencial moving average (slowest from EMA Ribbon)
1a. Buy price toleration (%) - Price deviation for filtering bounces of EMA - price must close defined percents above EMA to open long trade
1b. Sell price toleration (%) - Price deviation for filtering bounces of EMA - price must close defined percents bellow EMA to close long trade
1c. EMA deelay - EMA id delayed by defined bars for smoothening
2. Filter by Fast EMA - Strategy filters signals to prevent buy while coin is dropping
2a. Fast EMA Length - Value for fast exponencial moving average
3. Filter by SMA - Strategy filters signals to confirm trend change
3a. SMA Length - Value for simple moving average
4. Filter by RSI - Strategy filters signals to prevent buing/selling overbought/oversold coins
4a. RSI Length - Length of RSI identificator
4b. RSI Source candle - What price of candle is used for RSI calculation (open, close, high, low)
4c. RSI Long condition - When buy, RSI indicator must be below this value to prevent of buying already overbought coin
4d. RSI Short condition - When sell, RSI indicator must be above this value to prevent of selling already oversold coin
5. RSI Close Trade Condition - Strategy sell coin once RSI reach defined value
5a. RSI close trade condition - Sell once RSI indicator acquires defined value
6. Close trade by Take Profit or Stop Loss Condition (STRATEGY ONLY) - Strategy sell coin once defined take profit / stoploss level is reached
6a. Take Profit (%) - Take profit value in percent
6b. Stop Loss (%) - Stop loss value in percent
6c. Plot targets on chart - defined targets will be plotted as lines on chart
7. Date range from
7a From Year - To run strategy in interval
7b From Month - To run strategy in interval
7c From Day - To run strategy in interval
8. Date range to
8a To Year - To run strategy in interval
8b To Month - To run strategy in interval
8c To Day - To run strategy in interval
9. Wait to confirm the signal
9a Wait candless to buy - strategy will wait defined candless to confirm the signal before buy
9b Wait candless to sell - strategy will wait defined candless to confirm the signal before sell
10. Plotting on chart (STUDY ONLY)
10a Plot signal line channel with bows on chart
10b Plot simple moving average on chart
10c Plot EMA Ribbon on chart
10d Plot recent support and resistance levels on chart
11. Show Every signal (STUDY ONLY) - Unchecked shows only first signal based on strategy. But if you use take profit/stoploss settings within your bot, you might want to rebuy on next signal. Checked shows signal on each candle.
Throw on chart also buld-in RSI indicator and set the same as strategy
Notice that there might be false signals, especially when the coin is not trending or is strongly manipulated. Overall strategy is profitable though. You just take some minor loses and wont miss the big move.
You may also consider to compare buy&hold return vs profit from trading this strategy. In downtrend as we have seen recently, profit may not be as high as you expect but it is still much better than just hold and hope.
You can use the strategy script for fine tunning settings and find best settings for yourself.
Study script helps you to automate trading with use of alerts perharps with 3commas bot or even trade manually based on email/sms notification setted by tradingview
Notice that study script does not handle takeprofit/stoploss order. That is why sell arrows could be plotted by study script later than strategy script. To rebuy after takeprofit/stop-loss use "11. Show Every signal (STUDY ONLY)" setting
Make sure that you keep same settings for strategy and study scripts.
If you need any help with settings do not hesitate to ask. I would also appriciate any feedback and ideas how to improve this script.

Trend Scalping Strategy - ForexHi all,
I have created the attached strategy for my own use primarily but thought I would share it as my experience to date is that it is profitable in particular circumstances, so thought I would open this out to the community to see if it can be successfully applied on any other pairs and timeframes.
I have protected the source code at this time - mainly because it needs massive tidying up! If I ever get time to do this then I will
The concept of the strategy is based upon the slingshot method - the strategy fundamentally does the following:
- Tests each candle for a new short term trend based upon EMAs
- If there is a new trend, check the RSI and ensure it isnt above the upper RSI threshold (for long positions) and below the lower RSI threshold (for short positions)
- If it passes the RSI check, entry is valid and draws a bar on the chart to show the opening entry position, stop loss position, take profit 1 and take profit 2 positions.
I have backtested this across 28 pairs on the M15 timeframe, comprising of a total of 140,000 candles (35,000 hours of trading). Across this period, 18 of the 28 pairs I looked at were profitable, with overall significant profit if live traded across the 28.
I have live tested 5 pairs on the same timeframe:
- GBPJPY
- GBPUSD
- GBPEUR
- CADJPY
- EURJPY
These pairs have to date given a rough ROR (Return on Risk) position of approx 60% average per trade.
All of the above has been done with the following inputs:
- RSI Upper - 68
- RSI Lower - 32
- Stop Loss - 0.0015
- TP1 - 0.002
- TP2 - 0.004
The SL and TPs are based on a decimal entry of a percentage movement - i.e. the Stop loss above reflects a 0.15% movement, etc etc. Obviously if this were to be tested on longer time frames it is likely that these would need to be larger figures.
I have also tested this live with great success on the S&P 500 and the FTSE, with the following settings:
Indicator Timeframe TP1 TP2 SL Upper Lower
FTSE M5 0.0015 0.004 0.001 70 30
SPX M5 0.0015 0.004 0.001 75 35
Three key notes on trading this below - THESE ARE VERY IMPORTANT!
- This is NOT a high strike rate strategy. Strike rate on profitable pairs is between approx 45 and 55% (although I have seen as low as 35% and still seen significant profit). This has two natural conclusions - risk management is VITAL (I risk 0.5% on each trade, but this may in fact be high for this strategy), and be prepared for potentially significant drawdowns. I have seen certainly drawdowns of 20 consecutive losing trades (counting TP1 and TP2 as 2 trades) and probably longer, which obviously means drawdowns of 10% or greater. The other thing to bear in mind is that with this kind of strike rate, you shouldnt be setting TP1 at a 1:1 risk reward or lower.
- Take Profit 1 is easy - straight Stop and Limit orders. Take Profit 2 is a trailing stop with a start point of the limit for TP1, with then a trailing stop of this distance. This means that should you win on TP1, TP2 is a risk free trade but also trails in for profit if TP2 isnt reached (which it normally isnt). DO NOT set TP2 as a standard stop and limit, this rapidly makes this strategy unprofitable. The point here is that if you reach TP1 you are in some form of trend where you want to capture as much profit as you can.
- Do not enter a trade mid candle. The strategy is based upon the close of the trending candle not the "live" price during this candle, so no need to rush into a trade. If you enter mid candle you will find more often than not that the indicator wasnt for a valid trade by the candle close.
Also, standard disclaimer - past performance is no guarantee of future performance, and if you choose to use this strategy/indicator you do so 100% at your own risk. As a minimum, pick your pairs carefully - I have found particular unprofitability with this strategy with the AUD and NZD pairs so I have ruled these out completely at present, although with different timeframes and inputs these may of course be profitable.
I hope this is helpful for someone...I'd welcome any feedback or other setups where this is profitable.
Moving forward, I want to do some more work on this strategy to rule out some of the more negative trades, and I primarily intend to do this using pivots - however this will be an as and when I get chance.
